Wet People

Here we are at the top of Helvellyn. Well, you can't see me because I took the photo.

For the record, we started from Patterdale Youth Hostel, went up via Red Tarn and back via a place called Hole in the Wall.

The weather was a little less than perfect. I'm not sure, but you might be able to tell from the picture, that we had a little rain, and quite a stiff breeze at the top.

Before we went I bought myself a new gortex jacket, which seems to work perfectly. Unfortunately the rest of my gear was not up to the same standard and I got wet feet, and carried back a few pints that had soaked into the spare clothes in my rucksack.
