Scilly docks and village
Another backblip. It was very difficult to choose which photograph to blip, none of them are amazing and out of focus!
Scilly is a former fishing village at the top of the estuary near Kinsale and just off the road to Charles Fort. To the right one can see the masts of the sailing boats moored in the marina.
It poured with rain in the morning so J and I left the men with their papers and arranged to meet them later for a sandwich and a Guinness in the Lord Kingsale in Main Street while we braved the weather and went on walkabout visiting mainly the churches. St Multose, the 12C Protestant church named after the patron saint of Kinsale, was off course locked!
In the afternoon we went to Charles Fort, a 17C star fort and the sun shone so brightly the photographs were not the best!
