Sparrow (oops no, it's a dunnock!)

It was the second day of the Congregational Church Exhibition today and once again very well supported by local people. Even more old yet familiar faces came through the door (old as in haven't seen them for a long time!) so I didn't need to take my knitting or my new book (Audrey Niffeneger's 'Her Fearful Symmetry') because it was wall-to-wall talking for three hours! A new friend, year of happy also came with her lovely daughters!

Once again there was a mixture of interest in the different exhibits, some people like animal shots, others floral, many enjoyed Jeanne's 'Year of blips' book and her views of local walks, a few interested in views and familiar places - pretty good reflection of the tastes and interests of blippers in fact.

This is the second in an occasional series on the balancing skills of tiny birds in the face of wind. A small flock of sparrows live in the hedge opposite our kitchen door, just above and around Buddy's katkabin, but they appear to live in harmony as he is too old to cause them much concern these days! Still a few raindrops from last night's downpour on the washing line.
