Not Quite as Sharpness as i Hoped
The entrance to the docks on the river Severn at Sharpness.
Not quite as sharp as I would have hoped. I took my tripod, but neglected to take the little bit which screws in to the camera - numbnut! 1/25th was tricky with a high wind, I should have increased the iso and/or opened the aperture a bit.
Sharpness is bit of a pit. It has the feel of a frontier town in the cowboy mid west. It marks the start of the Sharpness-Gloucester canal which allows (allowed) bigger boats to travel further up the Severn to Gloucester with out worrying about the huge range of the tides.
In other exciting news... we have cashed in the Tesco clubcard points and booked the Eurotunnel for the motorhome for 3 weeks in Europe during the summer. Tentative plans include travelling down through Germany, along the Mosel to Black Forest and back through France. Although Slovenia or the Ardeche are still possibilities.
