words

Amelie has been saying lots of new words recently. She can now say;

hello
hiya
bye
cat
whale
ta
go (we say ready, steady and she says go)
ball
tree
quiche
cheese
fish
dizzy
daisy
car
yes
no
daddy
granny
papa
nana
cheers
boo
baby
caterpillar (cagau!)
cuddle

She can also do some animal noises (miow, raaar, moo, baa, cockadoodledo - yes!)and pretend to count (I say pretend as I'm not sure she is entirely aware of what she is doing, just copying) Uhn, oo, ee, oh as she is doing things.

Her newest trick is saying 'Whatsaaaa'; asking us 'What's that?' She says it in a questioning voice exactly mimicking me as I always say 'Whats thaaat?!" whenever she has something new or we see something new. She could play this new game for hours. But its obviously good because she will now be learning about everything she asks and I love that she wants to know about things.

She also now walks everywhere she possibly can, although never in the right direction and always towards danger.

I was going to save this little update for Wednesday when she will be 14 months but I have a chance to do it now so now it is!

I LOVE this corner of Amelie's room. And so does she! I'm planning on getting a beanbag and cushions so she can sit and read her books there more comfortably. The basket on the bottom shelf is all of her instruments so its a little music corner too.
