Trial By Fire and Water

Cracking thunderstorm over the Lune Valley tonight. Unfortunately, I spent most of it driving home from work, and then getting soaked walking to the field where I stood a chance of capturing some shots of the lightning. As soon as I was setting up the tripod, though, the rain eased off, and the last of the fairly regular bolts of lightning for the evening happened just as I was attaching the camera! There were still a few streaks at long intervals, so I got just this one shot out of loads of long exposures; this is only a small part of the field I took - the street lamp is most annoyingly placed!
