raaaarrrrr!

that's the noise a lion makes according to Miss Pink. And we nearly found out. Seperated by the glass at the local zoo, this really was how close Mr. Lion was to us. His lady friends were getting most frustrated that they couldn't go out to play, as the keepers were doing a check over the enclosure, but for us it was fantastic. I've never been so close to a Lion before, and doubt i will be again. The lady Lions in their frustration took a few swipes at the faces behind the glass. Mr Lion licked his lips. The mini Pinks thought it was fantastic, and so did I!

Our visit to the Zoo today was inspired by Master Pink, as he has homework to do about African animals. we have season passes for the local zoo, so we can pop in for an hour and it doesn't cost anything extra. He unsurprisingly chose to do a Lion so has drawn a very cute picture and labelled it up for his homework.
