House Hunting

I've got a mansion just over the hilltop,
In that bright land where we'll never grow old....
And someday yonder, we'll never more wander,
but walk the streets that are made of gold.

The early bird gets the worm view.

The sparrow looks like it is facing a decision. With 16 homes to pick from, many questions must be asked. "Do I want a view of the water, or a view of the garden?" "Do I want the eastern sun or the western sun?" "Do I want neighbors on both sides or just on one side?" "Are the end units bigger?" "Do they ever put those two barking dogs in the house?" And, "Can a squirrel climb up this pole?"

So many questions, but probably none of them pertain. This is a house built for purple martins. I think the size of the entry hole would be too much for the sparrow. Maybe she was just stopping by to see if any martins had arrived yet, trying to be a good neighbor.

A lesson for us all. Nobody likes to live next to a bad neighbor. Most of the time...it does'nt take much effort.

Have a great weekend, and for all of you wonderful mothers...HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
