Let The Festival Begin

The Brighton Festival kicked off today with the Children's Parade and some great street acts. its theme, The Rights of the Child...

"What do our children need? What do they think
of the world we are creating around them?
And what will the future be like for them when they have children of their own? These questions have sparked the creativity of 5000 young people across the city, working hard with parents, teachers, artists, musicians and choreographers to make this the biggest and best community event of its kind in the country."

I really couldn't decide which photo to blip so have posted some more pics on my Flickr page. I like the reflections in the balloon in this one, and more putple colour coordination as on May 5th.

Looking forward to the next 3 weeks. I plan to attend at least one event each day:)
