Pied Wagtail

After a quick trip into town to get some bug killer for my strawberry plants, we spotted this little bird hopping about on a quiet side street. It seemed to have forgotten how to use it's wings, as instead of flying off as I approached, it started to run.

When I picked up my daughter up from gym, they were practicing what looked like 'crowd surfing'. The smaller, lighter girls were diving onto the arms of a mass of older girls. It looked like lots of fun!

My head is pretty woolly today after last night's excesses, so I have already volunteered myself as the driver for our next night out in a week's time. I just can't cope with more than two or three glasses of wine in an evening any more!
