Hey everybody
Thought I'd do an SP where I can't hide!! So here you are. More here.
Well, got up with great intentions to do the NZ project. Decided it would make good sense to get some exercise done before shower (time efficiency and all that jazz) and I felt like a bike ride :) 20km/1hr later and I was back, tired but feeling goood :) Made me realise just how much I've missed my bike!
Checked my Aber email account to find an email from Pete, suggesting I met him this afternoon. Okay, change of plan then, work for a bit on my dissertation, looking up all the things I want to ask him :P and just basically making sure myself I know vaguely what I want to do. Met Pete at 3, left about 4:30!! He's one of those people I just instantly got on with :) He's into mountain biking and a total gear freak like me! Plus he was ginger hair (well, we've got to stick together, safety in numbers!). Anyway, we did get some work done on the dissertation, the meeting was actually really useful, as well as enjoyable.
By then unfortunately it was too late to hand in equipment from NZ I'd brought up, collect bursary scholarship money, speak to anyone else in the dept or take photos in the woods before tea. Ho hum.
Walked up to Doug's to quickly drop a very late birthday present by, then walked quickly down the hill to get the birthday present for Cait from my house - all very rushed and I ended up having to get the bike out to rush to the station in time! Turns out she was waving someone else off, and not actually travelling herself, but I wasn't to know that until I arrived!! Had a lovely chat with her, then went to make tea. Vegi sausages, mashed potato, broccoli, peas and gravy :) YAY! (And no ready meal rubbish I'll have you know!!)
THEN up to octopush (which I had almost forgotten about), stopping briefly to take this photo and three others I've put on flickr. Good session, though my legs were a little sleepy.
Now time for a brief read through some NZ journals and bed. Night folks.
