Pigs...in....space...
This is what my children are chanting as they are jumping on their new trampoline in the backyard. I have NO CLUE what the signficance of "pigs in space" is but it must mean something to them. Theres no school today for the boys and its a overcast outside so we are just hanging around the house. This is the first day they've been home all day and able to take advantage of the trampoline.
We found this great find off of Craigs List and if you ask Jack he will tell you "if anyone ever asks me about the strangest thing that's ever happened to me I'm telling them about when we picked the trampoline up". He's funny. The story is we had found it on Craigs List and after a few weeks of hit and miss communication we decided to contact the seller again, even though the trampoline was no longer listed for sale. They repsonded immediately this time so Scott and Jack left last Saturday night to pick it up. It was downtown and located in a loft but Jack referred to it as a "hotel". He said it was "crazy mom". When they walked in there were ropes and fabric strips hanging from the ceiling. As soon as they told me this my response to Scott was "what kind of place did you take him to?" They laughed. Turns out she is some sort of trapeze artist and does her stunts and training with these ropes and teaches students there too. There was someone there performing while Scott and Jack arrived. The trampoline was previously used just as a precaution for teaching and she was done with it. It was less than a year old, never been used outside and the bumper and cage were still in the box. We bought it for half of what it would sell for on the internet. A pretty good find and now we have some pretty happy children. Soon the whole family will be chanting "pigs in space" as we jump too. Just kidding.
