Fan Cristobal
'This is my new favourire place so far'
This is becoming all too common a phrase as we push our way across Mexico, and I was at it again today.
San Cristobal de las Casas is a Spanish Colonial town that sits almost seven thousand feet above sea level in the highlands of the Chiapas region - and is also the birthplace of the interesting and controversial Zapista Movement.
If I described it to you, San Cristobal would sound much like the other colonial towns we've seen so far. There's a vibe here though, something I can't quite put my finger on, that's really drawn me to the place.
Above is one of the many colourful churches dotted around the city.
Can't wait to explore it in more detail tomorrow.
