Excitement!!

Ah, look at the colors!!! This is just a simple martini glass with my EFA's. I needed some bright colors to lift my spirit. Weather isn't really working with me today...its been raining like crazy. The image instantly reminded of my favorite place...Key West...the color of the sunsets.the blue sky, the sand, the chill atmosphere!

Yeah, I am a little excited! We are planning a trip to Miami w/ a short stop in Key West in a few weeks. It will be Noah's first time...my hundredth, well, seems like it at least ;) I truly can't wait to share my favorite place with him! I know he's excited...he appreciates traveling as much as I do!

So what is this little place about? The average temperature is about 77 degrees and plenty of sunshine! The little 4 by 2 mile island offers a laid back atmosphere during the day and partying all night long! Restaurant wise... everything you can think of, but I love the local Cuban restaurants, always great food.

And the lodging...first few times I stayed at the local "it" resorts, but it's not the way to go. Either stay the night in one of the many Bed & Breakfasts mansions or rent a vacation home. And you cant forget the sunsets...each and every single night they celebrate the sunset!

Out of all the places I've been to...pretty much every island in the Caribbean, I've always come back to Key West...for the laid back folks, the water, the sunshine, the lush tropical scenery, the amazing food, the music, the relaxing atmosphere, the beautiful sunsets, I could go on and on...it just fits me. Yeah, its one of those rare places where I truly feel at home! Im looking forward to this trip...and most importantly, sharing it for the first time with my Noah! I cant wait to see the Island through his eyes! He will not want to come back...I say that every single time I go down there ;)

Ha - so this simple martini glass w/ oils in it reminded me of all of that! What can I say, I have a vivid imagination!!
