The construction industry is not known for its cutting edge, witty repartee, but I did have to laugh (and then take a photo)

A pleasant evening spent in the Plateau bar in Canary Wharf - with the world's (well my world) poshest smoking terrace (not that I was smoking, it was my client).

Trees, carpet, upholstered chairs, tables, candles, a vine, a bar and ... a bird behind the bar.

Almost worth the three and a half hour trip back home.
