Yellow flag

Another busy day at work today, so no chance for a lunchtime blip session.

The yellow flags in my pond weren't out yesterday, and the first one has opened out today - so this is as fresh a bloom as you can get. Yellow flag iris pseudacorus is a common plant in wet places throughout the UK.

I borrowed S's compact camera this evening and it has given a somewhat sharper picture than yesterday's cistus. Its a Panasonic Lumix TZ6, which is a terrific camera you can put in your pocket or handbag.
