Democracy in the UK

Today's an important day for democracy in the UK, as we have the opportunity to bring about about a change to the electoral system when voting for Parliamentary MPs. There's a referendum asking if the current out-dated and not fit for purpose system (personal opinion) should be replaced by an Alternative Vote system. Personally I would prefer a proportional system, but I consider AV to be fairer than the one we have now.
