poor little ladybug... truly, i only hung out for several minutes. i'm sure it seemed like forever to this little one. but there was nothing dramatic - no spreading of wings to take flight, no walking around, you can barely see a tiny leg hanging out as though it wants to try and escape but is thinking better of it... hence "playing dead." nature cracks me up... no doubt a huge sigh of relief was given once i was out of sight.
