Clematis montana

Another garden blip as I wasn't carrying the camera today, I was attending the funeral of an elderly member of our church, a talented musician, writer, arranger, singer, teller of funny stories and all-round popular man. It was a lovely service and it was a delight to sing him farewell with one of his favourite anthems, along with emhowl and other past members of the Central Hall choir and Director of Music.

My Clematis montana are just coming into flower but they are getting above themselves and will have to be pruned as soon as these lovely blooms are over.
