Local Heron

Stealthily stalks fish along the river.
Stood still for a bit looking,
then suddenly turns and takes off in a whooshing sweep of wings.
In the split second that I raised my camera,
another graceful grey body flew by, following -
there were two Herons!
I didnt get that shot, but happy with the one I did get.
Happy to have seen them.

been away for a few days without a camera. back now, and still the sun shines. Long may it last.
