St. Martin's Church at Wharram Percy

We had a great day today walking in the Yorkshire Wolds around Thixendale. We started from the Deserted Medieval Village at Wharram Percy and followed the Wolds Way on to Thixendale before returning on the Centenary Way.

The Medieval Village is well worth a visit and the countryside is very pretty. Today's blip is the parish church which dates from the 12th century.

Plenty of birds were spotted, the highlights being Whitethroats, Yellowhammers and Buzzards.
