It's where we live!

There's something to be said for living in the centre of a city.

A bit more exciting maybe, some interesting houses, a bit more gritty.

A lot to be said for suburbia though.

This shot is taken looking across Bristol from the common in Horfield.

It's supposed to be one of the highest points in the city but doesn't really feel like it.

The 'highest' pub is reputedly just up the road!

The good thing about Bristol as a city is that from almost any vantage point you can see the countryside beyond - you don't feel hemmed in. That's what I always say to my friends in London. 'Best City in the World', they say. End of conversation!

All of these long holidays have got me thinking about moving jobs, living elsewhere, having a lifestyle change.

Maybe it will blow over, maybe it won't.

It's my impending 40th birthday that's doing this to me....

Loads of blips to catch up on - when you're busy they always seem great and you're itching to say so!
