Motherhood Series 1

Decided to be brave and do a little mom series in honor of this coming weekend(at least for those of us in this part of the world). Actually, it's the chicken way of doing a self portrait because I get to partially hide behind someone cute:).

This is #1...Mommy. I love the season of "Mommy" where I get the hold my kids in my lap most of the time knowing they are safe and sound. It's such a sweet season. With Ella being our little caboose, I long to savor the season as long as possible. It's also a very demanding season emotionally and physically very tiring, but the rewards are priceless.

P.S. A little detail note. This swing was gift from my sweet husband. He has a little tradition of giving me sweet gifts with J+G, our initials, on it. One of the sweetest parts is that my kids always react with something like "oh, Dad, not again!" To me that says they will always know and remember their parents love each other.
