Washing Machine

This is la piedra where I do my laundry. There is a tank that we fill with river water (indeed I once spotted a 4-inch fish-pet swimming in the tank) to use to do the washing. The steps for squeaky clean clothes are:
1. soak the clothes in a big tub with detergent and river water.
2. use a bar of soap to scrub each article of clothing.
3. rinse the soap out of the clothes using river water.
4. wring the clothes out.
5. hang the clothes to dry.
