Old Church, Clachan

I was in Kintyre today and came back via some of the villages, leafleting as we went. The sun continues to shine on the campaign, but the vital issue of rural schools will need vigorous attention as soon as the election is over. Fighting with and for the local communities will be essential, and I had a number of conversations about that , in Clachan and Tayinloan . The school in Clachan lies just across the way from this old church which is now a holiday home. Beautiful as it is, it is faded and no longer of service to all the village. We must make sure that the schools - here and elsewhere - are not allowed to go the same way.
