The ex (Recycling Series #6)

The ex dining table, that is. The bloke is current, though if I had my way his manky baseball cap and t-shirt would be history.

After 20 years in use, our battered pine dining table has been recycled into a side table by T who is an ace craftsman. He cut the top in half lengthwise, adjusted and reinforced the frame, stripped everything down, gave it several layers of beeswax, and buffed it to a deep shine. The white ceramic drawer handles (not shown) went on last. It's a beauty.

We were about to take this table to the secondhand store when I thought of converting it. Our family has grown up around it after all. T will tell you that this isn't the first time I've had a bright idea which ended up with him doing all the work. Nor will it be the last, because I'm clever like that.
