A Good Weekend...

AN APOLOGY[/u]
I've neglected blip this bank holiday this weekend! I've been busy, partying or sleepy!

So Sorry!!

Let me update you. It was J's birthday party on Saturday so didn't get a chance to blip that night, even though I did take a photo. It was a really good party with a really lovely group of people.
The only thing that really annoyed me was some w***** (self-bleeping :D) on Facebook who started on me for no reason! Let me tell you about our conversation. It was quite proud of my comebacks.

STEVE: (The original status) Makes me laugh to see other people copying my format for a comedy night. I guess I should be happy that people see that I'm not doing a bad job.
ME: The Laughing Pod is the only one worth going to :D If theirs are s***, you've got nothing to worry about :)
GARY (The B******): And have you been to all the other clubs Alix?
ME: I've been to a couple, yeah
GARY: And that makes you an expect on comedy clubs does it?
ME: Not at all. Just defending my friend and his brilliant comedy night. No need to start, yeah?
GARY: No one is disputing that Stephen puts on a top night. You are slagging off other clubs you haven't been to!!! And that is not fair really, is it?
ME: Never slagged them off. Merely commented on what Stephen said. So, respectively, do one. I'm at a party now and can't be bothered with silly little men like you. Have a lovely night.

Now that, for me, was the end of that. Until...

GARY: Sorry, is it time for pass the parcel or has the jelly and ice cream come out?

This disjointed me slightly. This imbecile has actually come out with a clever comment.
Now, I'm a woman. I won't let that rest. So one last comment. And that seems to have finished it.

ME: No. It's time to grow up and crawl under whatever rock you've come out of. Leave it out

I only share this with you because this kept me entertained. Funny stuff, right?! :)

Anyway. Sunday we went to J's parents' and out for dinner. The place we ended up in was doing a quiz night so we joined in. We split into 2 teams.
Now, I thought our teams were a little unevenly matched. You see, these quizzes do tend to be geared towards older people so we could have done with a mix.
On the other team, the age range was 26 to early 50s.
Our team had an average age of 20. So yeah. We were pretty screwed to begin with.
Questions varied from something about the author of African Queen to someone's second wife in Heartbeat. I did impress myself with my own knowledge when we were asked how John Haigh disposed of his bodies. Without even thinking, I wrote down 'acid'. I'm weird about serial killers. Trust me, if I went on MasterMind, I'd win with my knowledge of this deathly subject :D
Unfortunately, we scored 14 out of 40 and the other team got 19. Grrr.

Monday, again, was very chilled. Lounged about. Lounged about some more :)

I was supposed to be starting at Vodafone today as some of you know. However, with all the bank holidays, there was a bit of a mix up so I actually start today/tomorrow (it's 2am, so it depends on the way you think about it)

The photo is my uniform! Shirt, jeans and converse. Love it!

Anyway.
Best get some sleep. Or to watch Glee :)
Wish me luck for tomorrow!

A xx

PS. Comment on this and then check out my back blip (http://www.blipfoto.com/view.php?id=1128263&month=4&year=2011) which is, simply, my new hair and dress :D
