Grandma 50

Today Grandma was 50. She had a party with lots of lovely cake. Toddler did very well in the car although she found it hard going. We took on all the advice that we have been given (thank you blippers) and so she had some remedies and sat on newspaper, the windows were down and the nursery rhyme cd was on full whack for our 16 mile journey.

We still had to pull over a couple of times both on the way there and on the way back but all made it home ok complete with clean party dress. We even managed to park on our road which was lucky considering the football is on tonight.

In a couple of months were are going to be driving to Yorkshire and so need to get some more car practice in before then, though we have decided to travel through the night. The plan is that we will set of in the early hours and arrive in time for breakfast meaning the little ones will sleep for most if not all of the journey.

Though it could just mean I will be cleaning sick up in the dark!
