Dovercourt Range Lights

This is one of two lighthouses built to guide shipping around Landguard Point and into Harwich. The other one actually stands in the sea and as they are made of cast iron, I am surprised they haven't rusted away yet (they've been there for about 150 years so far).
Dovercourt is also famous for the place used for the holiday camp in the comedy series Hi De Hi. It is long gone now and there now stands a housing development - what else?

It was still very windy today and even the windsurfers were finding it hard going. G and I were having a quick scout round for her final digital piece before her exam. Think we found enough along the way.
