A real live bathing machine!
I had to blip this!
Two reasons:
a) I mentioned bathing machines very early in my blip life, before I'd met one.
b) It was SO windy in Eastbourne, that all my majestic, crashing wave, images feature the horizon on a rather worrying slope. Even tho' I was firmly tethered (to Himself) I wuthered, quite spectacularly. This was detrimental as far as images went.
(Actually, many of my photographs display the disturbing trend towards a sloping horizon.
It's a family weakness apparently).
The bathing machine is from 1896 and was rescued from an allotment in June '99 by Julian Martyr. It was fully restored by him, and the staff of the Langham Hotel, Eastbourne at the time, and that is where I saw it today.
Apparently it has featured in BBC's One Show.
(All together now.... 'Waahhhnnn')
