Listening
I've spent the day listening. At the allotment I was listening to the walkers and runners as they passed by. Often I wish I could jump the fence and continue on behind them to hear the rest of the juicy story - 'Well I was appauled that she even said that!' - but what did she say? More often than not it is people squealing with delight at the scarecrow in the next plot. I hear dingle dangle scarecrow at least 5 times each visit.
Later at the park with my girl, enjoying the rays, there were people passing and snippets of this and that. An interesting meeting with a couple lead me to believe I had stumbled on a torrid affair. Both delighted to see each other, neither dressed appropriately for a date, a kind of pre-arranged chance meeting. He couldn't keep his hands off her. They were standing in a public path and didn't dare venture into the park. I couldn't take my eyes off them. To reach for my camera would have caused huge embarrassment I'm sure.
At home I'm always listening to my boy just now. He is on a charm offensive and is always asking if he can do anything for me... and by the way could you please give serious thought to my pet idea. I've found out this piece of information which may help you make up your mind mum. It hasn't.
He wanted my full attention at tea and as I looked up and focussed on him his eyes shone out. So if I pose, does that mean you may consider it? Perhaps gorgeous boy. x
I'm off now to listen to my Dad. He has many questions which need answered and much that he needs re-assured about just now. He is the one I will be listening closest to today. x
