Dinner Party

Had a dinner party this evening. Because it has been a while since we have done this, getting ready for 22 people for dinner was lots of preparation. Mr. Fun barbecued chicken breasts, a couple of friends helped by bringing food: fruit salad, cabbage salad, garlic bread, and for dessert we had lemon meringue pie. Every bit of it was delicious. It is always fun to gather friends around food.


On another note, the TV news is going crazy with the update that Osama Bin Laden has been killed in Pakistan. It is well after midnight on America's East Coast, but that doesn't matter, they have filled the streets--thousands of people in Washington DC and in NY at Ground Zero (probably many of other places to).

P.S. The pooches weren't in tuxes and gowns for this event (but that would have been cute). Actually we took them to the PetHotel overnight because we thought this place would not be a good environment for them. We used to put Bob Dog in the car in the garage when we entertained and he loved being in the car. He'd sleep the entire time. These three pooches are too young to expect them to stay in the car. We knew they'd be much more comfortable at the pet place. We'll get them at noon tomorrow.
