Reunion

Tonight I went to a wonderful concert from North Tyneside Schools Windband augmented by previous band members going back 40 years - the timespan of the band leader who is now retiring.

My daughter (left) joined the band 26 years ago, followed later by my son, who plays the trumpet. She met her future husband there and became best friends with the girl who sat beside her. Despite her friend now living in the South, tonight they were all there, sat in the same places, but with another 100 or so besides.

It was rousing, triumphant and very very loud!!!
