It's the first day again
So, it's the May Day/Walpurgis Day/Labor Day (but in Finnish I'm just calling it Vappu), the Spring festival but also the celebration of Finnish working class. Enjoying mead and doughnuts made by Grandma as every year before. They've been playing lots of old tunes and songs identified to the working class in the radio today, for example one of my evergreen favourites. So nostalgic!
Took this shot of Sam's new moped enduro thingy (Gilera SMT 50 2006), which he bought yesterday at last. It's used but Sam worked hard for getting it, so I guess he's such proud of it, too. I made a little round with it and think it's a pretty good purchase. We had a bet that I'll be driving a car before Sam drives a moped, even though Sam got his moped license last December and I my proper driving license just some weeks ago.
Well, I won, but Sam is very pedantic with things he's going to get himself. Oh, I'm very proud of that dude, who has sense. I see a working yet very wise man growing from that little boy - who's not so little anymore - who's my brother and always will be.
Even though it was a celebration day, something quite odd happened to me today; I just sold my first photographs ever. Three copies, actually, and I've posted one of them here in blipfoto, too. Well, I sometimes commission a poster size of some of my photos. The posters are hanging around our house and I sometimes give them to others as presents. The guy who bought them seemed to adore his purchase a lot, too. Cool.
It was such a nice day, I think.
