Stortinden

Yesterday afternoon was really warm and snow conditions were getting a bit unstable so we decided to take today a bit easier mountain to go up and then down. Stortinden is a 1150 peak approx. 30kms north from Narvik area and the main couloir is not so steep, under 30 degrees and has quite easy access with only 3-4hours approach.

The weather was warm but during our way at the couloir the clouds came in and we almost lost visibility for a while. Luckily during our way down the situation was not so bad and there was enough contrast even to take a few pics.

Here Mr.M and Mr.J are waiting at quite safe place at the half way of the couloir while Ms.M is heading down. Here the steepest part is already behind us and Ms.M is cruising the nice and easy spring snow..
