Spikey

I went out in the garden to photograph early tulips and other spring bloomers, but then I saw this fellow. A hedgehog.
He went happily his snuffling way and didn't really mind me, but when Mime the cat appeared, the hedgehog turned himself into a spiky ball. I don't think Mime even realized what was going on, she was so focused on chasing dry leaves the wind was blowing that she probably missed the whole thing. Which was good I suppose. I picked Mime up and we went away leaving the hedgehog to continue his day in the garden.
