Sweeps festival

I went to Rochester today to visit a friend and had completely forgotten that the Sweeps festival is on as of course it is the May Bankholiday weekend. 400 years ago the chimney sweeps used to only have one day off, 1st May to have some fun.
The festival takes place on Rochester High Street and it is a really nice relaxed atmosphere in historic Rochester with some great music played in pubs. Should you want to have a look yourself this weekend this is the link for more info


My tip for Sunday is Hobo Jones and the Junkyard dogs in the Kings Head from 4 - 6 pm. Good fun!
