The Red Robin's Nest

Today I just so happened to see a nest that is just about at the top of the tulip poplar tree. I watched it for a while and realized it belongs to the American Robin. It is extremely high. I was standing on a two story deck and still having to use some zoom to see it clearly. The leaves should be out quite a bit in the next week or so & she will have more shade & protection. I did wonder if she got pretty warm in that sunlight today.. it was rather on the hot side.. Hopefully all the little baby birdies will stay in that nest until they can fly....

I'm always happy when I actually spot a nest, sometimes they are right under my nose and I miss seeing them... imagine that..
