Growing Up

As the days go by Alana shows more interest in how she looks and occasionally tries on a bit of make-up. Here is L imparting a little knowledge of this odd ritual which will one day be a daily part of her life. Two minutes after this the eye shadow was removed as Alana had her own opinions on how strong it should be!

Today was cousin Amelia's birthday party at Thorns Park. She was five during the week. Louis is five and I think he is worried she will overtake him. I assured him that he would soon be six, long before his cousin.

We have done a cousin swap so Alana is sleeping at her Aunty and Uncles and we have Amelia who is sleeping in Alana's bed along with Louis. They have got on really well and they might actually still be awake. If staying up late means I get a lie in I don't mind. Though knowing kids and sleepovers they will be up extra early.
