Lest they be forgotten

This is the Above Derwent War Memorial and I walk past this on the old A66 every time I walk into Keswick. It looks so peaceful and serene there and I often think what a wonderful place to be to be remembered. Today the sun was shining through the trees and the last few bluebells were blowing in the breeze. It was nice just to stop and remember them.

This memorial commemorates the residents of Derwent who were killed or missing in World War I (19 names) and World War II (13 names).
