Red Throated Divers

One of my favourite parts of Shetland does not involve the sea and there are parts where it is difficult to see any influence of man.

On the walk today the first of the years Bonxies checked us out to see if we were OK. Also stumbled across these Red Throated Divers in one of the lochs and as they are highly protected hot footed it away and will give them a wide berth for the rest of the summer.

Quite often see them and Black Throats flying overhead.
