Azalea

We had these amazing yellow azaleas at our last house too, lining and lighting the driveway in both places. They are incredibly bright and heavily scented.

so bright
it's almost white
the taste
of citrus
scent of honey
sound
of laughter

that moment
early on a clear morning
when the pale light
starts to dawn
grey turns to lemon
takes over the sky
warms the earth
pleases the eye.
short lived,
over taken by reds
and golds
the clearest
purest living colour
it heals the void....
