A Right Royal Do

I've just returned from the village hall where we have enjoyed a lovely tea of homemade goodies. Here is a small selection including my contribution of an asparagus flan. The hall wasn't crowded but it was a good social occasion for chatting with our neighbours. We don't have a shop in the village and it is surprising how little we see of some of our close neighbours. Everyone agreed that the wedding was a splendid affair and the couple have all of our best wishes.
As the wonderful food was all washed down with copious cups of tea we are off soon to The Dog & Gun to toast the royal pair in something a little stronger! No doubt when we return I will be happy to view the highlights over again.
