Where Are We?

I'll give you a few hints:
We are using public transportation.
The person straight ahead is the driver.
The two people on the sides are passengers.
I am sitting toward the front; there are about 12 rows of seats behind me.
We are in the "Venice of the East."

And the give-away hint:
The blue tarps on both sides can be pulled up and down to keep water from splashing in and let you get out.

If you guessed we are in a public canal boat traveling through Bangkok, you are right!

There was a time when most transportation around Bangkok was by boat, but now many of the canals have been filled in and turned into roads. This canal however, along with a few others, is still used by many people each day to get across town.
