Hairdresser's appointment today, same hairdresser but a different location -- San Marco, across the St Johns River.

The salon is housed in a 100-year-old and has a lot more character than the one in Avondale. Everyone was friendly and Courtney did her usual excellent job on my hair.

And the reading matter has improved. I flicked through The Smithsonian magazine and found it a good read. I particularly liked the article on the outbreak of the Civil War and the artillery attack on Fort Sumter, a place I visited a few years ago.

With a storm gathering, I did not have much time to linger in order to take today's blip. This shot of Marco Lake seemed to pass muster. I hope you agree.
