The Middlesex Riviera
Spent most of the day waiting in for a delivery. But nipped out down to Isleworth prom & snapped this.
Ahead is All Saints church, partially destroyed by an arson in 1943. I don't know, you wait 4 years for the Luftwaffe to sort out your urban redevelopement & some twit puts a match to it!
A hundred years ago this would have been a bustling scene, with barges being loaded with produce from Isleworth's many market gardens, bound for central London, and grain being unloaded for the flour mills & brewery.
On the right is Isleworth Ait, now a nature reserve, but still home to one last working boat yard.
