Ninja Turtle!! ;-)

A few young men were walking in the street with this dear little thingy and Fanie, our gate guard, stopped them and took it from them, since they did not know what to do with it, they just found it on the street.

We were not at home and he decided to give it to our new neighbours to take it to some animal rescue society because it is illegal to keep them in captivity. As soon as we drove into the complex, he came to us to report the incident, I took a few snapshots, and the neighbours said they will look after it until it can be handed over to authorities! It will really be safer with the neighbours, since we have almost no grass in our yard, just paving stones, and they have big pieces of lawn in their garden!
