4 unhappy creatures

Delightful Dotsy deposited this little present on my bed this morning. Poor wee thing. His little heart was going ten to the dozen. Unhappy creature No.1. He seemed to be unscathed (Dotsy has no teeth) so I put him under a bush outside and kept the cats in for a while. Cats do not like being kept inside when there's a baby bird waiting to be tortured in the garden!! Unhappy creatures Nos.2 and 3. Anyway the bird has gone (before the cats were allowed out) so I hope he flew away...

Sad news about Eugene the Hedgehog (aka Mr Hedgehog). He hasn't been back for 3 nights and yesterday I found him, or at least I presume it's him as I don't have much experience in telling hedgehogs apart, squished on the very quiet road leading to our car park. Unhappy creature No.4 (although maybe he's the only happy one since he's now in hedgehoggy heaven). He wasn't looking too good, so I didn't blip him - even I have my limits. RIP Eugene.
