Schooling & Pocket Money

During my schooling I used to think that why my parents send me to school regularly in total disregard of my wish of play. I remember, once I was beaten up by my father because I refused to go to school with little money.

Because, for school goers, it is next to impossible to go to school without pocket money. In the childhood, you only know the value of money (as it gives you sweets and ice-lolly etc) and you did not understand at that time how hard it is to earn money or your parents might not have that much money to fulfill your desire.

But now, when I look back at my traveled path of education I become highly indebted to my parents because they knew exactly the importance of education what I did not know at that time.

History repeats itself; my daughter (Tasneem Abbas) demands money every morning and she has a reason because she is going to school. Her demand is often high perhaps she has known practically something about inflation.
