Acorn Woodpecker

We had an expedition to Madera Canyon today to see if we could find any birds to Photograph. This Acorn Woodpecker was immediately captured from one of the parking lots. We then hiked around and ate our lunch of Clif Bar and Coffee. On our return we stopped at a Gift Shop at one of the Bed & Breakfast places. They had a big bird feeding area beside their porch and we saw the following. Western Tanager, Scott's Oriole, Anna's Hummingbird, Black-headed Grosbeak, and a Broad-billed Hummingbird....all in about 20 minutes.
